Neighborhood Association
Mission Statment
We are an inclusive group committed to advancing the vitality and diversity of our neighborhood. We build a caring community by facilitating strong friendships, educating our neighbors, and enhancing our neighborhood surroundings.
Meetings
Our
association meetings are held on the third Thursday of the second month of each quarter from 7:30 - 8:30pm. We meet downstairs in the basement Fellowship Hall at St. Luke United Methodist Church, 2019 Shamrock Drive, at the corner of Shamrock and Globe and across the street from Shamrock Gardens Elementary School. We’d love for you to join us. Click here to see previous meeting agendas.
Our
board meetings are typically held three times a year. Please contact a board meeting if you have business to bring to the board, or for meeting details if you'd like to attend a board meeting.
Membership
Neighborhood memberships are available to residents (homeowners and renters), rental property owners, and friends of Country Club Heights for only $20 a year.
Additional donations are most graciously appreciated. Memberships expire annually at the end of each year, so we encourage you to renew or join our neighborhood association early each year. Click

Committees
We would love to have you join a committee and are always looking for volunteers to help out - as little or as much as you’re able. Click

School committee and their work with Shamrock Gardens Elementary and

Social committee and the fun events that bring neighbors together.
Projects
Shamrock Gardens Neighborhood Improvement Project
An improvement project, sponsored by the City of Charlotte’s Neighborhood Development and Engineering & Property Management areas along with consultant URS & Neighboring Concept, is underway in a portion of our neighborhood. After fees and planning costs, the City will spend about $1.4 million. Click
here for more info on the project.
Sponsored events and activities
This earth-friendly first Saturday of October Creek Clean-up event for the portion of Briar Creek that meanders between Dunlavin Way and Airlee Street allows participants to experience a picturesque vantage point of our neighborhood. Though the years with over 45 volunteers we’ve pulled out more than 700 lbs. of debris from this portion of the creek.
Our Litter Patrol has adopted Eastway Drive from The Palm Apartments up to Shamrock Drive. Won’t you come help us clean this busy and visible state thoroughfare as we tackle it 4 times a year? We provide gloves, vests, bags, litter pickers, and water, but don’t forget weather-appropriate attire and comfortable shoes.
Join us in Shamrock Park on the first Tuesday in August for our
Ice Cream Social in celebration of
National Night Out Against Crime, a nationwide event to open communication between neighbors and police. Everyone is invited – neighbors, block captains, family, and friends, so stop by and meet your neighbors and stand up for public safety! This event is sponsored by our Neighborhood Watch.
We like to celebrate those neighbors who go the extra mile to help make our neighborhood the beautiful place it truly is. Nominate a neighbor or yourself for our Yard of the Month during the months of April through September and you may be our grand prize winner of a $50 gift card.

String those holiday lights and decorate your home and yard. Each December we award four festive homes for their holiday spirit and twinkling lights in our
Best Holiday Lights contest.
Spruce up your beds and natural areas with our spring Pine Needle Fundraiser event that delivers Carolina long-leaf needles to your driveway. A portion of the proceeds are donated to Shamrock Gardens Elementary.
